I have been sent three new products to try from my favourite vitamins and supplements company, Healthspan.
If you have not bought any products from this excellent company before, here is a statement from the founder and owner Derek Coates.
'In 1996 I founded Healthspan with just six products and a firm focus on quality, value for money and unsurpassed customer service. We are now almost 20 years young and our core values remain the same. We will never take your custom for granted and hope to remain your number one choice for vitamins and supplements for many years to come.'
I am happy to say I am one of Healthspan's 2 million customers and have been since the late nineties. With free UK delivery, a no quibble refund guarantee and excellent advice from nutritional experts and doctors, why would I shop anywhere else? Oh and also an excellent magazine which again is FREE.
Another great quote from the website is this one.
'98% of our 2 million customers rate us as excellent or good.'
So let me share with you all the latest products I have been sent.
ChondroMax 70 plus
I have taken ChondroMax tablets for a few years now and as I walk for an hour each day and I have no knee or joint problems (yet!). I believe that the combination of glucosomine and chondroitin is helping to keep my joints supple. Glucosomine is found in the fluid around our joints and Chondroitin is a component of our joint cartilage. As we age, so the levels go down. This product has been found to help some people with arthritis pain and certainly stiffness in the joints. My elderly mother used to swear by it and lived to the ripe old age of 92 and did not take any chemical products for her arthritis. Although I am only in my early sixties, I am going to switch to ChondroMax 70plus as the tablets are digested more easily and can also be taken by adults under the age of 70.
Black Garlic 2000mg
I have also taken 1200mg Garlic tablets for a number of years and am a big believer in garlic keeping away colds and also being beneficial for the heart. I have not had a cold for two years and am sure this is down to my garlic intake. Now there is a product which contains nearly double the strength of the garlic I take now. As the website states:
'Black garlic is a relatively new phenomenon and is highly prized by gourmet chefs for its mild and sweet flavour; it is produced through a unique fermentation process using fresh garlic (Allium sativum), which is kept under carefully controlled temperature and humidity conditions for over a month.'
So I am going to switch and see if this product is even better for me!
I have been reading up a lot about Turmeric and it is widely reported in various magazines and bulletins as being helpful in reducing inflamation. It also claims to be a very strong antioxidant. Plus there are many other claims. The Healthspan website descrpition states
Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is a perennial plant found throughout Asia, featuring prominently in Indian Ayurvedic practices. The root of the plant is used both as a spice and as a nutritional supplement. In the 1970s researchers discovered notable compounds called ‘curcuminoids’ explaining the science behind it’s benefits.
Now for my personal experience. I have suffered with IBS symptoms for a while and also recently feelings of soreness and bloatedness. Could this be inflamatory? No conventional medicine has helped so far. I have started taking
Opti-Turmeric and the symptoms have eased. Maybe it is too early to say yet as only ten days worth have been taken. I am however, so pleased that I feel better than I did.
All the health benefits of these products in this article cannot be endorsed by me. My own expereinces however from taking the products are beneficial and I shall continue to buy from the excellent company that is Healthspan.
