Since my life changing episode almost a year ago, there have been considerable alterations in my life style. When my dear wife was alive, we made a point of going out to eat at least once per week. Unfortunately this dropped off in the latter months of her life. Since then however I make a point of eating out whenever I can. Generally fish and chips on a Friday, and lunch on a Sunday.
My good friend and neighbour's wife works at a pub just about a mile away from where I live and he suggested that I might like to try it one Sunday. Well I did and I have been going there on a regular basis ever since. I have also taken my family there and they agree with me that it is excellent.
The delightfully friendly staff
Just off the A259 Littlehampton to Bognor road is Ford Road and just past Ford Open Prison is a camping site and in the middle of that is a pub called The Ship and Anchor
The menus are varied and it is a popular watering hole for visitors to the camp site and local residents. The food is always well prepared and pipng hot, the Sunday roast is a veritable feast. The landlady Joy(on the left) and one of her staff Roz are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble and one can see why it is a popular place.
I cannot buy, cook and prepare the food they serve for Sunday roast for the price they charge. It is well worth visiting and I thoroughly recommend it if you are down this way.
