My friend and I were looking for a restaurant in Hereford that welcomes dogs inside their premises. One such place is De Koffie Pot in Left Bank Village, Hereford.
On January 11th, Chris and I along with Mr Larkin, made our way to De Koffie Pot coffee house and bar which is situated in Bridge Street, Hereford.
Michelle, bar manager of Left Bank with Bill
Once inside, we felt welcomed and Mr Larkin certainly had no problem finding a place to sit under our table!
As the website states, 'The De Koffie Pot is a much-loved coffee house overlooking the riverside courtyard at The Left Bank Village. A cafe by day serving extra special nosh with lots of emphasis on local, organic, vegan, and gluten-free dishes. The perfect pit stop, break here for a "damn fine cup of coffee", courtesy of James' Gourmet Coffee or one of our delicate teas, locally blended in Green Street.
The Hereford Art College has designed much of are branding as part of our competition for the students, including our logo and our menu clipboard. The decor in the coffee house is Dutch-inspired and the people of Herefordshire and beyond find it a particularly restful and interesting place to relax.'
We made ourselves comfortable and looked at the menu and specials board. To start with, we ordered two glasses of Italian merlot which was excellent and both agreed that De Koffie Pot has a lovely ambience..

The soup of the day looked delicious, there were two varieties on the specials board, we both chose the sweet potato and cocnut with home made bread. Fabulous! As the soup was so filling, we both chose a salad for the main course.
Certainly is a hearty salad!!
This salad was super and included: feta, roasted butternut squash, hazelnuts, seed mix with a mustard and sweet balsamic dressing. Neither of us could finish our salads but Michelle very kindly gave us a doggy bag each and so we had tea sorted for later that day!!
Did we have room for a sweet??? Michelle showed us the array of home made cakes and biscuits on display. How could we refuse??? I chose a piece of shortbread and Chris chose a slice of apple and cider cake.
Did we want another glass of wine or a cup of tea? We decided to try the loose leaf tea which is blended locally in Green Street!
Chris was 'mum' pouring the tea!
Super seating area outside
Bit cold for a barbeque!
We were full and both agreed that we would be back. So after all that food, Mr Larkin decided we should have a walk!
