Have you ever written a Lipogram? They are very difficult, but not impossible and can be a fun way to spend an hour or two!
Our friend and contributor Shirley Barsby wrote one at the end of last year for us. Snow At Midnight and it has had over 1250 page view so far as at 6/5/15!
I would like Oapschatters to write a 100-150 word Lipogram and then enter into a competition I am running!
What does the word Lipogram mean? A text that purposefully excludes a particular letter of the alphabet. Adjective: lipogrammatic.
For the purposes of this competition, you are being given a choice for the letter you would like to leave out. I have chosen A or E or T.
Two winners will each win one of these super signed books!
The competition will run until the end of May. Two prizes are on offer. A signed copy of The Wedding Diary and a signed copy of Magic Sometimes Happens by best selling author Margaret James.
I am asking a friend of mine to judge the entries and she will not know the names of the people who have entered.
This should prove to be a lot of fun I think. I may even have a go myself!!
Good luck everyone!
