This week has seen a few visits taking place, some choir singing and I have started to write some Christmas cards....!
On Sunday Derek and I drove to Birmingham to meet up with my elder son James and his fiancé, Toni. We went to Miller and Carter for lunch and had a lovely meal. Toni and Derek had steak and James and I had seabass. We all indulged in the desserts too, James and Toni shared a platter of all the choices on the menu in smaller portions, Derek had cheesecake and I had crème brülée.
All very nice, thank you!!
Just the wine to finish now!
Then it was time to do a some 'window' shopping, but inside the all new Harvey Nichols. A shopping experience like no other!
An Aladdin's cave! Just looking!
Toni admiring the Christmas decorations. With each tree decoration costing £15, James says 'No!'
On Wednesday the choir I sing with, Helen Vereker Singers, entertained the Herefordshire Carers Support during their annual Christmas luncheon at The Railway Club, Hereford. Instead of singing Christmas carols, we did a medley of songs including Colour My World, Dancing Queen, This Is The Life, Sloop John B and finished with Hallelujah.
Many of the diners were up on the dance floor and as the following photos show, a good time was had by all!
This is the life!
