The Shropshire town of Whitchurch is well worth a visit, especially on the first Saturday of the month when it's Farmers' Market day. The selection of foods available on the stalls is always mouth-watering, from gourmet pies and free-range meats to home-baked sponge cakes and toffee.
The historic high street itself is pretty, and full of interesting independent retailers such as Lorna's House, Down to Earth and BookShrop, and there are some really quaint cafés if you fancy a brew or a snack to keep you fuelled.
Disabled parking spaces are available on the main street itself; alternatively there are ample pay-facilities just a step away from the town centre.
