I have been sent a BubbleBum travel car booster seat to evaluate. Perhaps like me, this is a new product to you?
My neighbour's grandson who is six agreed to be the 'model' and try it out. Read all about it here.
Bubblebum was created in 2009 and has gone from strength to strength selling worldwide. This is an extract taken from the website. 'BubbleBum, best seller and parents favorite, winner of more than 20 design and innovation awards including Mumsnet, Mother & Baby and Practical Parenting. The portable, lightweight, inflatable car booster seat for children aged between 4-11 easily deflates and packs away, making it perfect for holidays, rental cars, taxis, coach journeys, school trips or car pooling.' 'Designed for children aged between four and 11 years old, the BubbleBum has been approved under the United Nations ECE Regulation R44/04 for safety for both Groups 2 and 3. It is designed for use with a standard 3 point adult seat belt that has been approved to ECE Regulation 15 or equivalent. The only countries that are not covered by this legislation are Canada and Australia.'
The seat weighs in at only 500gm making it very lightweight. Easily stored in a rucksack, large handbag, car glove compartment or even a carrier bag, this is an ideal portable car booster seat.
Jay was excited to open the box and see what was inside! After removing the deflated seat, it took him less than 20 seconds to fully inflate the BubbleBum.
What's this then?!
Takes no time at all to blow the seat up!
Fully inflated and ready to try out!
Positioning the seat in the car
It's a thumbs up from Jay!
Retailing at £29.99, the Bubblebum is excellent value for money. Below is a short video explaining how the car seat ensures comfort and most importantly, safety.

Jay was very impressed with the seat and said it felt 'very spongy!' I think this is a superb way to fit a car seat when space is at a premium or when you do not want a child booster seat being permanently positioned in the car.
My thanks to Jay and to his mum for taking the photographs.
