Where do you shop for unique high quality classic clothing? Cotswold Collections send me their catalogues seven times a year and I am delighted that they have sent me three items of clothing to evaluate and share with you.
Let's begin by sharing a bit of information about the company taken from their website.
'Retailing for twenty four years now, Cotswold Collections has gone from strength to strength, today mailing seven catalogues a year throughout the UK and abroad. Offering collections of exclusive quality clothing and accessories for the discerning, classic woman, and with a growing online customer base.
It is jointly owned by Cheltenham-based entrepreneurs, Michael Brickell and John Caines. Michael Brickell, the company Chairman, has led the development and growth of the business from its small beginnings to the size it is today and he is supported by a strong, hardworking team.
Our reputation for genuine exclusivity, quality and customer service is of utmost importance to us and we welcome any comments and feedback regarding our service to our customers. Please let us know any thoughts or suggestions you may have to help us continually strengthen our service and our brand for the future.'
Anastasia McPartland from Cotswold Clothing has written an excellent blog post on The Heritage Beyond Our Brand. This is a super read.
What is also important as Anastasia told me is that Cotswold 'manufacture 51% of our products in the UK and where possible we work with heritage mills and use British wool to support these important industries (this is more evident in our Autumn, Winter and Christmas catalogues, where thick, woollen garments are more appropriate). We work closely with our British suppliers, whom we have developed a great working relationship over the past two decades, including our local mill, Beckford Silk, a family-run business who print most of our silk scarves.'
So, to show you the great garments I have been sent!

There are many other tops, cardigans, jackets and jeans in the current catalogue that would mix and match with these items of clothing. I have featured some of my favourites below together with the descriptions.
My verdict? Well made clothes from an established UK firm. Maybe a bit more expensive than some of the popular high street brands, but the finish and attention to detail is second to none. Excellent customer service and the clothes come individually wrapped in tissue paper with hangers where appropriate.
